you’re scrolling through your phone, lounging on rafe’s bed, when he walks in and catches you giggling at something. without looking up, you absentmindedly say, “oh my god, rafe, you have to see this new monster high merch drop. it’s insane.”

he raises an eyebrow, leaning against the doorframe with that familiar smirk. “still obsessed with that, huh?”

you glance up, meeting his teasing gaze, and roll your eyes. “uh, yeah, because it’s iconic? they just released a new draculaura doll, and it’s sold out everywhere.”

rafe steps closer, plopping down on the bed beside you, his hand resting casually on your leg. “you’re seriously into this, aren’t you? you’re, like… dedicated.”

“dedicated? please. i’m a connoisseur,” you correct him, holding up your phone to show him the picture of the doll, all pink and black with gothic details. “look at her. she’s perfect.”

he glances at it, clearly not as enthused, but he humors you. “yeah, she’s… cute, i guess.”

“cute?” you scoff, leaning closer to him, your shoulder brushing his. “she’s gorgeous. you just don’t get it.”

“you’re right,” he chuckles, his hand sliding up your leg, squeezing your thigh lightly. “i don’t. but seeing you get all worked up over these dolls? kind of hot.”

you shoot him a skeptical look, feeling a smirk tug at the corners of your mouth. “oh, really? you think me being obsessed with a bunch of ghouls is hot?”

“yeah, why not?” he shrugs, his fingers trailing up your thigh a little higher, teasing. “there’s something about you getting all passionate about it. gets me thinking…”

you raise an eyebrow, curious but trying to play it cool. “thinking about what?”

“about how you’d look dressed up like one of them,” he says, his voice dropping low as his hand finds its way to your hip. “you know, in one of those little outfits.”

you laugh, shaking your head. “are you trying to make me cosplay monster high characters now?”

“i mean… if you’re down.” his eyes darken, and you can see the playful challenge in them.

“rafe,” you start, trying to sound stern but failing to hide the grin spreading across your face. “you’re ridiculous.”

“maybe,” he murmurs, leaning in closer, his lips brushing against your neck. “but you know you’d kill it as cleo de nile or …maybe frankie stein with all those stitches.”

you bite your lip, trying not to give in to the teasing warmth that’s building between you two. “you’re out of your mind.”

“nah,” he says, pulling back just enough to meet your gaze, his eyes dark and full of heat. “just really into the idea of you looking all gothy and spooky. fits your vibe.”

you let out a soft laugh, leaning into him, your lips brushing his. “you’d love that, wouldn’t you?”

“maybe a little,” he admits, his voice low as his hand tightens on your waist, pulling you even closer. “but i think i’d love it more if you’d stop talking about those dolls for a second and pay attention to me.”

“oh, now you want attention?” you tease, pressing a kiss to his jaw. “i thought you were cool with me and my monster high obsession.”

“i am,” he grins, turning his head to kiss you properly, his lips soft but firm against yours. “but i think i deserve a little attention too.”

you pull back slightly, giving him a playful look. “so you’re telling me i should ditch my dolls for you?”

“i mean, i’d say i’m a pretty solid trade-off,” rafe smirks, his fingers trailing up your spine, sending a shiver through you. “besides… i don’t think any of those plastic ghouls can do what i’m about to.”

“oh yeah?” you challenge, your voice low and teasing as you lean in close, your lips barely grazing his. “prove it, cameron.”

with that, he pulls you into his lap, his hands gripping your waist as he kisses you deeply, your phone forgotten on the bed. you laugh against his lips, your hands tangling in his hair as you let him take control, the air between you heating up fast.

“you really think you can compete with monster high?” you murmur against his mouth, your words playful but breathless.

rafe grins, pulling back to look at you, his eyes dark with desire. “babe, you’re about to forget those dolls even exist.”

My stf controversial opinions (no one asked) don't be mad at me pls don't take me seriously

I see Cedric being more like Sofia's uncle figure than father figure (he's the crazy uncle). Their bond together is definitely sweet but I think Cedric it's not a very parental guy and Roland would find their bond a bit weird since he's Sofia's father now. While Roland takes care of Sofia, Cedric gives her sweets and takes her to crazy places with him (like the sorcerers convention). He's defo the cool uncle for her even though everyone sees him as this weird guy

I don't see the appeal in cedlock but honestly I don't mind seeing stuff about them, it's a funny dynamic (please can someone explain them to me? I'm not joking)

which is funny because I'm so in love with Lorelei, Cedric and Roland's love triangle even though it's 100% fanon and they never appear together in the show at all

I don't shipp any of the children in stf, even though I get why some shipps are famous like Sofia x Hugo or Amber x Desmond, I just can't get used to the idea somehow, I can't see the chemistry, better saying. But it's nice!!! I also see it as a fun dynamic

The same applies to Cordelia. I think her character is a bit shallow :( we should have seen more of her and her personality through other episodes. I think that us as a fandom need to reunite to give her the development she deserved.

Now please don't kill me but I don't think Ruby and Jade are annoying, they're just immature. I think this can compare to Amber being mean in the start of the show, they're bad in their own ways. The way she treated them poorly since the beginning is just as bad as Ruby and Jade misbehaving!!

I don't like 70% of the two last seasons. Even the episodes where Cedric is in are just weird to watch, they don't pass the Sofia The First vibes at all :( they're nice but they can't even compare to Once Upon A Princess and season 1.

I personally don't like the protectors characters. I tried to, and I honestly don't mind a lot about their presence in the fandom (it's not like those shipps and stuff you roll your eyes whenever you see them, like I do with c*dfia) but I just don't like their presence in the show. Those episodes where Sofia was a protector trainee don't get much of my attention and Chrysta gets on my nerves just as much as Ruby and Jade do to almost half of the fandom. Honestly to finish STF those episodes were a sacrifice to watch. I couldn't pay attention to them and I had to rewatch them more than once. Their character designs also don't look like Sofia The First characters. They're not meant to be in this show.

I hate that Sofia got torn between that new unicorn character and OUR BELOVED Minimus. GIRL, MINIMUS IS A KING. WDYM you can't choose between him and an unicorn you just met. Just by the fact that her long time friend was feeling bad vibes coming from someone she just met is just a good reason to stop and think a bit. And the worst part was that Skye was fully against Minimus and was battling with him to get Sofia's attention. Like don't piss me off you just met her and Minimus watched her grow up. That episode was torture. And in the end Sofia was all "I don't know which one to choose 🥺 I'll just choose both" EXCUSE ME?!?? YOU JUST GOT TORN BETWEEN THIS NEW CHARACTER AND F ING MINIMUS

The merch group also started to make Sofia + Skye merch with him as her new horse friend and stopped making Sofia + Minimus stuff. The whole lesson of the episode was about keeping them both as her friends and you guys just replaced him. That shit pisses me off

I understand that the last seasons are so different from the first ones because the writer, Craig Gerber, had to focus on Elena of Avalor. But honestly, if I could decide between having Elena of Avalor and letting STF last seasons poorly done, or not having EOA at all but having STF as it was always meant to be........ I would have choosen the second option 😶

Engagement rings headcanons

Was scrolling through the engagement rings with my friendo the other day, and they dared me to choose individual rings for everyone in mm, so here's the result of that silly dare. I know we technically already know about this from the 'mysterious confesson' merch we got, but this was still a very fun exercise to do. These are just my headcanons, and were made solely for fun, don't take my thoughts on this too seriously! :D

Yoosung

Would go with something classy and romantic, probably a bit of vintage, too. He wants your engagement ring to reflect his love for you, which may lead him to become antsy and indecisive when picking one. He doesn't want it to be too expensive, or too cheap. It has to be just right. Poor guy even sketches out a clumsy 'prototype' he shows to the employees, as it's hard to relay his vision across with just words. In the end, he ends up either getting either a classic diamond ring with an infinity band (he thinks it's sweet to include a small detail of your appreciation to each other lasting forever, however cheesy that may sound) or something a bit more vintage and intricate in style. I don't think he would have any preferences concerning the color of metal, so he might go with a mix of white and yellow metal.

Zen

Would definitely go over the top - the man's a true romantic, you can't tell me he hasn't dreamed of his wedding at least a couple of times! He appreciates everything you've done for him, and he wants this ring to show it. He wants this ring to be everything you've ever dreamed of and so much more. Might struggle with high expectations he sets up for himself, which results in him just stressing himself out instead of enjoying the process like he's supposed to. You might have to have a talk with him about that. As for the ring itself, I think he'll go with something pink and soft in color! There's just something that's is so sweet and light whenever he looks at rose gold engagement rings, it makes him instantly think about you. That's when he knows it's the one. After all, pink is the color of romance!

Jaehee

Would get something custom-made, but still pretty traditional. She wants something that would catch your attention, but won't be an inconvenience to wear. She wouldn't stress out too much, and you two would probably agree on a design together, instead of her surprising you with something. You are her partner, and she wants your rings to reflect that. A delicate and easy design is her go-to. But, if you want something eye-catching, that's okay too, as long as it's not a bother to wear. I think she would go with platinum options when it comes to color. It's simple but very pretty to look at. Kind of like you :) She would also like to add custom engravings to your rings. Something to look at and smile as she twirls the ring around her finger. Either a cheesy coordinated phrase (probably out of your favorite musical that you two always quote to each other), or a date of your cafe's opening, as it's the start of her new life that she has managed to achieve thanks to your support.

Jumin

Would get something fancy, but not over the top. He desires fir your ring to not be too simple, as you are worth more than that. Still, he focuses more on the spiritual meaning of the ring rather than its cost. Money's not an issue to him either way, and he knows that you don't care about how expensive this ring will be. Regardless, he wants only the best for you, as you rightfully deserve. Jumin would go for traditional classic designs, as he finds them the most flattering to look at. Might also like boho-styled engagement rings. When it comes to the process of picking one, he won't overthink it too much. He wants the ring to be perfect, no doubt, but he's pretty cool-headed with his search. Might ask Elizabeth to pick out the best design if he's conflicted. With her intricate collection of collars, he knows she has a good sense of elegance. Would probably go for yellow gold variety when it comes to color, as it's the most classy one in his eyes.

Saeyoung

Would go with something simplistic but unique. I am like 70% sure he would create your engagement rings and wedding bands by hand. It just sounds like something Saeyoung would do. Poor guy would probably be the most stressed of all the others. He wants it to be perfect so badly, but he's also indecisive as hell. See, he's mostly non-traditional when it comes to his tastes, but he also really likes the classic styles of rings, not to mention that the idea of a classic traditional wedding makes him feel all emotional on the inside. This issue would probably persist throughout your entire wedding planning, and not just the creation of your engagement rings: he just can't decide which side to take for the life of him. In the end, he'll probably find the middle ground thanks to your help and encouragement. He's gonna let out the biggest sigh of relief once those rings are finally done. And probably cry right after, as he has never thought he would hold anything as precious as an engagement ring meant for his soulmate in his own hands. Would go with white gold for color.

Jihyun

Would go for something custom-made and simple, but still a bit unique in its presentation. I don't think he has much preference when it comes to style, so he's fine with anything you pick. He doesn't want it to be too ostentatious or expensive, however. He strikes me as someone who prefers more modest designs, even if he'd like to sprinkle some custom design choices. It'll depend on your relationship with him, and what makes it unique for you. He wants your rings to reflect that, more than anything else. He wouldn't be anxious while working on the design itself, occasionally asking for your input, as he wants these rings to be the representation of your shared love, not just his own. He might go a bit overboard and come up with a borderline silly-looking design initially, so it'd be best for you to keep him from getting too creative. Can't fault the man for getting carried away. He would probably go for yellow metal, as it reminds him of the sun.

GE Saeran

Would go for something simple, romantic, and vintage-styled. Saeran doesn't know much about the intricacies that go into picking out an engagement ring, so I can imagine he'd get pretty overwhelmed the first time he tries to research the topic on his own. You'll probably end up picking it out together, patiently discussing important details between yourselves. He knows he doesn't want it to be too fancy or eye-catching, and he knows he wants the ring to remind him of your smile whenever he looks at it. His criteria is pretty easy but sweet nonetheless. It's less about the details and more about his inner feelings. He would probably go for a floral-themed ring if he comes across one that catches his eye, but it's not definitive. He would also go for a colored gemstone, mostly because he likes it better that way. He loves the color pink, as it reminds him of the feeling your gentle love, so he will have a preference for rose gold rings, not doubt.

SE Saeran

Would go for something both unique but elegant. Now, Saeran is definitely not picky when it comes to engagement rings. He kind of feels out of his depth here. Still, it is very important to ask for his input and offer for him to pick out some options he likes, even just on a whim. You two will take your time during this process, as there is no need to rush, and he will get overwhelmed from time to time. It's best to take it one small step at a time, not rushing into anything too quickly. He needs to be reminded that he has nothing to worry about, as all that truly matters is your bond with one another. Saeyoung will probably be the one to make your engagement rings for you, as well as your wedding bands. Partially to not stress Saeran too much with all the shopping, as jewelry stores tend to be too bright for the eyes. It'll be a pretty unique and somewhat edgy design but with a touch of soft colors in the mix. Kind of like him. 

Rika

Is the type to go over the top but, in reality, she would like something classic and simple. When she's in a good place both physically and mentally, she's very doting, and she's also a hopeless romantic. I'd say she's almost on par with Zen when it comes to her romantic fantasies, which is why she loves his musicals as much as she does. It can be a good thing, but it also makes her prone to perfectionism. She will pick out a very fancy ring that she thinks is good enough for someone as wonderful as you, but... she feels dissatisfied with the result, and that makes her anxious. Rika is a people pleaser, so she tends to make choices with someone else in mind, rather than trusting her own heart. You guys will have to talk about it. It's hard to understand what you like when you've lived your whole life masking as someone you're not. In the end, I think she would go for something simple and elegant, probably also combine the colors she associates with your love. Keep her in check, though, as we all know Rika's design skills are out of this world. 

Vanderwood

Weirdly enough? Despite their seemingly simplistic nature, I think they would go for something very unique and even a little odd-looking. Vanderwood is a pretty laid-back person, but all these casual vibes go out the window once it comes down to design. They are very picky with anything that they own in their closet, and engagement rings are on another level completely. They wear leopard print for a reason! I think they would end up getting something custom-made, as it's the easiest way not to stress out over the perfect design. They are not so much nervous as they are choosy. Still, they do have a major soft spot for you, so it's up to you to stir them in the right direction. They would like you to be very involved in the process of deciding on a perfect engagement ring. The end result will still be weird, though. But, the amount of weirdness will depend solely on you. Whether to embrace the weirdness, or to add just a touch of it - it is your choice to make.

Despite everyone's warnings, Itto ended up driving. it's not that bad! The ride was a chaotic mix of bumps and near misses, but hey, they survived, right?

Everyone scrambled away from the car as soon as they could. Yoimiya was the first to voice the group’s collective sigh of relief, gasping for air. "Seriously, why do we keep letting him drive? I think we all just MIGHT be doo in the head..."

Hu Tao, doubled over with laughter, barely managed to catch her breath. "Honestly, it’s for the comedic effect. Who knew that nearly dying could be so hilarious?"

Y/N, standing on the sidelines, felt a knot of anxiety tighten in her chest. She deeply appreciated everyone’s efforts to prepare her for the big day, but the pressure was mounting. The thought of her first collaboration being on one of the most famous shows, in front of an audience, was daunting.

She flinched at the sudden burst of nerves but quickly found solace as Lumine gently patted her back. Lumine’s reassuring smile and calm presence were a balm to her frayed nerves, a reminder that she wasn’t alone.

As the day wound down, Y/N found comfort in the fun they had together. They had explored nearly every store in the mall, shopped for clothes for the big day, and more. Her friends had managed to pull her out of the spiral of stress, rekindling her excitement. She flopped onto her couch, reflecting on the day's adventures with a sense of gratitude and a newfound hope that she could handle whatever came next.

She picked up her phone to check the group chat, making sure everyone had made it home safely. As she scrolled, a notification from Twitter- well X, caught her eye. Her heart skipped a beat—INAZUMA Entertainment was collabing with her, but wait—one of the biggest streamers was also joining the collab!? She hadn’t received any updates about this. Had she missed an email? She scrolled further, her eyes widening as the reality sank in.

She was aware of her show and merch collaboration with Kamisato Entertainment, but the news that the host was one of the biggest streamers in the industry was a blow she hadn’t anticipated. The comments she saw were relentless, comparing her unfavorably to the Balladeer and questioning why someone of his stature would even consider working with her. The harsh criticism made her feel like a pawn in a game she could never win.

As she read the comments, a sense of despair overwhelmed her. She wondered if she truly deserved this opportunity or if she was just a disappointment waiting to happen. The support from her friends seemed distant now, lost in the sea of negativity she faced. The weight of her insecurities settled over her like a dark cloud, leaving her to grapple with the painful realization that the spotlight she had hoped for now felt more like a harsh glare, highlighting her perceived inadequacies.

☆ Redesign Time: Nifty, the lovable and SUCH A WASTE OF POTENTIAL ☆

(Sorry that title got aggressive. New series though! I now have, Have Tea With Me and Redesign Time.)

Ahoy Matey's, we are here to talk about my favorite Hazbin Hotel character. Yes, Nifty is my favorite. I've loved her ever since she stepped into the pilot. She's just so fun and silly and God I love her so much. But litteraly no one cares about her and that bothers me SO much. Like no one talks about her unless Alastor and Husk are involved. There is little to no merch of her. It's just so depressing man. But I love this little bug alien and I wanna rewrite her a story and redesign her cause her design is just not it.

(Also I wanna clarify something. With any redesigns and rewrites I do, they can change. Hazbin hasn't come out yet as of time of writing so Nifty may actually get a story. Maybe. I severely doubt it. These designs are for fun and fun only. I do genuinely like Hazbin Hotel and want it to succeed. This also isn't a attack on Vivziepop or SpindleHorse productions. Vivzie has been accused of alot but I'm not touching up on that. These designs are for fun and my own personal spin on things. Please don't harass me. Seriously artists have been harassed for redesigns and it's actually sickening. These are for fun, don't take it personally. ALSO!! DO NOT TRY TO ANIMATE THESE. I don't want no comments about how these are not animation friendly. I know. These are just showing of my level of art and a coherent story. Cool? Cool.)

☆Nifty's Redesign!!

Nifty's cannon design is just not it. Let's play a game. What is Nifty?

Nifty, Wiki confirmed, is supposed to be a reference to bugs and aliens. Where? Besides her arms and legs Nifty has no bug features. Nifty also died in the 50's. Can you tell? No, you can't. Nifty is nothing like what she is described. That's the issue with most of the designs of Vivzie. They are nothing like how they are described. I've seen a couple of times that people didn't know that Alstor was supposed to be a deer, Vaggie is a moth, Charlie is based of dolls and goats, and Angel is a spider from the 40's. Nifty's design needs touching up, so let me show you my design!!

(I'm iffy on this. I think there are things I can improve)

She's a little lady!! Let me explain certain parts of my design.

1. Hair. Curled hair was a big thing in the 50's. Nifty is cannonically Japanese so she would probably curl her hair. I wanted her hair to be this messy curly/wavy mop. Why is Nifty's hair fire colored? I thought it was so cool when Nifty came through the fire. In my rewrite I want fire to be a part of Nifty. (You'll see in a little bit.) I also gave her antennas.

2. Face. I changed Nifty to green to give her a bug/alien type feel. I gave her small little bug choppers and red rosy cheeks. I kept her one eye cause it makes her face stand out.

3. Clothing. I might have to change her clothes but I think I did a decently good job with her clothing. I gave her a apron with stitches to symbolize her obsession with chores. I gave her gloves because she's also the cook. I made her dress blue instead of red to contrast her hair and it makes her dress pop.

4. Bug features. Nifty now has antennas that move along with her emotions. She has her bug choppers, I gave her more bug like legs and arms, and finally, wings. There small so I imagine she can fly for small amounts of time.

I just wanted Nifty to feel more bug like. I also wanted her 50's background to shine through!!

It's less about his character and more about the way ppl talk about him and narrative around him in a lot of current stuff. Other characters suddenly become stupid around him so that he looks smart. The other characters talk about how he is the best, nicest, smartest Robin ever and ALL the others were dumber and meaner than he is, even the one that mentored him. He as a grown adult man is canonically still bitter about ""his"" child sidekick role being given to an actual child (fans pretend he is the victim of this on both sides—nope he's the adult fighting a child for the child sidekick role, no adult wanted to replace him). Did I mention that this character is the amazing pure white boy, and his 10-year-old successor is painted as a savage Arab terrorist who needs to be put in his place? T*m is a 5'9""+ adult grown man, not a delicate sensitive baby boy.

You know as a former member of Vivziepop's cult and yes its a cult not a fandom anymore I am disgusted by a majority of the people in it.

Like someone on the subreddit brought up it being kinda tasteless or fucked that they sold sexy Stella merch in bdsm gear when she's abused Stolas physically. The post was deleted quickly and judging by my experiences in the fandom people were stanning Viv or harassing OP and that has got me thinking.

Why is Stella in bdsm gear? Like Stolas and Blitzo are canonically into it yet you give the abuser that...

Like isn't a bit fucked that instead of choosing the canonical practicioners in your show you choose to put someone who uses pain not to pleasure but to slowly break and hurt someone.

I also find it fucked that Vivziepop and crew are attempting to tackle an issue as serious as domestic abuse and do it so poorly by writing Stolas and Stella as bickering children next we see them. Then the staff has the utter gawl to sell merch in general of Stella and the fans buying it up.

Like I understand autograph signings slightly but that's the only merch Stella should have.

Vivziepop's cult loves to claim that they utterly depise Stella and deserves to suffer because she's an abuser so how dare people want nuance or not just a generically evil cartoon villain but the moment she is drawn in a sexy way they start throwing money at that.

Like I just want to know how these people if their friends ask about the character on the pin will explain "Oh this is Stella who's a sexy domestic abuser"

I think a lot of fandoms, especially nowadays, have a lot of genuinely bad people who really need help/therapy but see nothing wrong in what they do or just keep doing that, though they know it ain't okay. That's so frustrating when you can't feel comfortable even in an Internet community. But Viv's "fandom"(I mean exactly these two shows, although Zoophobia also had...... not very pleasant people) is surely something... Where'd you find so many blatantly oblivious and blind brown nosers which keep pretending everything's good when there's already tons of red flags from Vivienne? Yeah, that's a rare case. I don't wanna interact with this fandom or even talk about it, tbh. I still watch the show cuz it's fun to see how it manages to be worse with every episode, though sometimes I don't make reviews as many other people do it faster and better and I just have nothing to say(I need to take my jaw from the floor). Regarding Stella – well, I don't know on what principles Viv or her team makes merch with the characters, but aren't all characters being sexualized anyway? They even have merch with Chaz, a guy who, like, died in the same episode. And they keep doing new merch with this jerk. And that's obviously because there are people who simp for him. The Amazing Digital Circus deserves better

So I heard that The Amazing Digital Circus beat Disney, which I am so happy about, because they deserved to beat Disney's A.I generated story about a girl and a wishing star (seriously, what was even the plot for Wish? It was so freaking confusing). But an indie animated show that was so creatively written, had good humor, and excellent production quality! I love how they even showed off merch at the end, which i thought was clever and cute (I wonder if they'll do bloopers or something for episode 2)... if they make an episode 2.

Thanks to these trashy content farm channels, they might not make an episode 2 for TADC and we got to do something! I think the creator, Gooseworx, should take legal action against these content channels in the future. If she they down TADC, the content farm channels would end up winning which we don't want. I might help try and do research to help them but I don't think that I can take legal action against the channels as a fan, only Gooseworx can do that, or maybe Glitch productions can come at them.

As fans, let's try and remain a nice fanbase and report that channel that pretends to be official but isn't. Like, that animated content farm channel, go report it.

Warnings: Fluff and flashback

In a cozy, sunlit living room filled with boxes and nostalgia, Beth and Alex are in the midst of sorting through forgotten treasures and memorabilia from their past lives. Amidst the boxes, they come across an old, dust-covered box labeled "Beth’s Indie Stuff." The handwriting is faded, the box clearly untouched for years, evoking a past Beth has long since packed away.

Alex turned to his fiancé “Hey, what's this one? Can I open it?"

He reaches for the box, but Beth quickly interposes herself, her expression suddenly tight and protective. "It’s just old stuff from my managing days... from the indie circuit." Beth mumbled

Alex notices the sudden change in her demeanor and frowns, his curiosity deepening. "Is this from when you used to manage Joe? Why haven’t you shown me any of this before?"

Beth sighs, her hands resting nervously on the box, a mix of nostalgia and discomfort flickering across her face. “I haven’t opened that box since... since Joe and I broke up. It’s full of old memories. Let’s just put it aside, okay?"

Alex, sensing her discomfort but also wanting to share in all parts of her life, wraps an arm around her shoulders and gives her a gentle kiss on the lips. "It’s your past, Beth, and it’s okay. Maybe it’s time to revisit it. It might even help you move on, you know?"

He smiles reassuringly, and with a reluctant nod from Beth, he gently lifts the lid of the box. Inside, they find old ring gear, faded Joe Hendry merch, and other memorabilia. Each piece seems to carry the weight of memories. As they dig deeper, Alex pulls out a stack of old photos—many of them featuring a younger Beth and Joe, smiling broadly, arms around each other, clearly more than just manager and wrestler. As Alex sifts through the photos, he comes across a small, velvet ring box. Curious, he picks it up.

Alex look curious of the box” What’s this, Beth?"

Beth’s face goes pale as she sees the box, her heart skipping a beat. She quickly reaches out to take it, trying to mask her sudden anxiety. "It’s nothing, just... it got mixed up in there. It’s my Nan’s old ring."

She opens the box to show Alex, revealing a simple yet elegant promise ring. Alex, unaware of its true significance, nods and hands it back to her.

Alex smiled "It’s beautiful. Your Nan had good taste."

Beth nods absently, her fingers tracing the contours of the ring, lost in a flood of memories. Alex watches her, then leans in to kiss her forehead gently. “Whatever happened, it’s all part of what made you the amazing person you are today. I love all parts of you, Beth."

Beth looks up, caught off guard by the affection and understanding in Alex’s eyes. She holds the ring in her hand, feeling its weight as a symbol of a past chapter.

Alex asked curiously “How did you and Joe actually get together? I mean, I know you managed him, but what was the start like?"

Beth wrapped her arm around Alex and laid her head on his shoulder “Well…”

Grado jeered "Joe, mate, that dropkick tonight—outta nowhere! Crowd went mental, didn’t they?"

Joe laughed deeply “It felt good, but it was Beth's idea to add that twist at the end. Turned out pretty solid."

Noam grinned “Solid? It was bloody brilliant! And Beth, managing to keep this lug in line—you deserve a medal."

Beth smirked taking a sip of her beer “Oh, it’s all part of the job. But seriously, Joe’s the one taking the bumps."

As they banter, Joe catches Beth’s eye with a grateful look, their mutual respect palpable. Amid the laughter,

Beth leans closer to Joe. "Think we could sneak out for a bit? It’s so loud in here, and I could really use some fresh air."

Joe smiled “Yeah, great idea. Let’s grab a smoke."

They start to stand, gathering their jackets. As they do, one of the other wrestlers at the table, noticing their move, starts to rise as well. "Mind if I join you two for that smoke?"

Before Beth or Joe can reply, Grado, who has been observing the dynamic between Joe and Beth with a knowing grin, chimes in, winking at Joe. "Nah, mate, let them have a wee moment. We’ve got some planning to do for the next show, remember? Let’s give 'em some space, eh?"

The wrestler nods, settling back down, as Grado gives Joe a subtle nod, his expression saying clearly, "Go on, then."

The crisp night air mixes with the warmth emanating from the bustling pub as Beth and Joe find a quiet spot under the dim glow of a street lamp. They light their cigarettes, the orange glow briefly illuminating their faces, creating an intimate space away from the raucous energy inside.

Beth looked to the night sky "It’s nice to catch a break from the crowd, isn’t it? Just to have a moment of quiet."

Joe put his arm around her shoulder “Absolutely. I like the noise, the chaos... but this is nice too. Especially with you."

Their conversation meanders from wrestling to personal aspirations, reflecting the comfort and trust they’ve built as friends and colleagues.

Joe’s gaze lingers on Beth, admiration evident in his eyes. "You know, Beth, watching you manage tonight, it reminded me how incredible you are. Not just at what you do, but who you are."

Beth: smiled shyly “Thanks, Joe. Means a lot, coming from you."

The air between them shifts as they inch closer, the distance closing under the pretense of sharing warmth. Joe hesitates for a moment, then makes a decision, driven by the emotions building throughout the night.

Joe took a deep breath “Beth, there’s something more, something beyond just being great partners... I've felt it for a while now."

Beth responds eagerly, her hands finding their way to Joe’s neck, pulling him closer. As they pull away briefly, breathless, the intensity in their eyes matches the fervor of their embrace. Beth, caught up in the moment, bites her lip and smiles. “Joe, I... I didn't realize—"

Seeing the mutual desire in their eyes, Joe leans in again, this time with a boldness fueled by her response. The kiss is fervent, filled with the release of their long-contained emotions. Beth’s hands roam over Joe’s back, pulling him even closer, their bodies molding together under the streetlamp’s soft glow.

The passion escalates, and Joe whispers against her lips, barely audible over their quickened breaths.

What does that even mean?

1.) I don't have a MAGA hat (though, on a side note, I was thinking of buying one to mark the historic moment as a piece of history. I did vote for that tough son of a bitch 3 times now.)

2.) As much as I love them as actors ... why the fuck do I care what Tom Glynn-Carney or Ewan Mitchell think about politics? And, further more, why would I ever make life changing decisions based on the opinions of someone or people who make pretend for a living?

Seriously, if you're voting based on what an actor or actress thinks, do me a favor and burn your voting card cause you don't deserve rights like everyone else.

3.) When I go to a comic-con I don't go to see actors/actresses, or panels. I go - shockingly - for the comics. I go to pick up some holes in my Batman and Zatanna collection, some Spider-Woman and Scarlet Witch, and occasionally some Fantastic 4 and Hawkman. Or I pick up some dope-boy-fresh Doctor Who stuff - I'm currently collecting 12th Doctor and Clara Oswald Comics and Novels.

The last thing I'm gonna do is wait three or four hours to glad hand with an actor or actress - even the ones I like - for 200$-400$. Listen, I'm not gonna tell them something interesting they haven't heard before from hundreds of others, and, frankly, I care a lot more about their characters and not particularly the actor or actress themselves.

Even the people I love like Michelle Dockery or Jenna Coleman ... what am I gonna say to them? They're people, just like me. They have mortgages, family issues, Coleman's got a baby now, Dockery's really proud of her new London House. A ten minute conversation with someone I enjoy on screen and a photo isn't gonna make or break my life, right? However, a Comic Book, a rare Doctor Who Novel, some cool Batman and Robin shit, I can go back time and time again to enjoy that. And frankly I'd rather spend my money on that than on a signature from an actor or actress.

The only way I'm gonna have any meaningful interaction with an actor or actress is if I'm writing their dialogue or the project they're in.

The only exception to that rule is Jessica De Gouw. After years of trying to boost her to anyone that'll listen and being mocked for it, I'd like to at least shake her hand and tell her she's a great actress - but that's more of a personal bucket list thing.

OKAY SO i said yesterday that i would make a post about how anime weekend atlanta went, so... basically it was a bit of a mixed bag because while i got to see tons of cool cosplays and merch and go to some neat panels, we (as in me and my dad who was traveling with me) ended up not only having car troubles the entire weekend but also had some absolutely ridiculous problems with ordering food. just as an example, one night we ordered a pizza and it took 3 hours to arrive and we never got told there would be any kind of delay 😭 BUT i will go ahead and share my cosplays and then list off some good things that happened! i'm slightly embarrassed about posting my face on here since i've never done that before but here goes:

i was edward elric on thursday and friday at AWA and lilia vanrouge (pop music club version) on saturday and sunday! i did a bunch of thrifting and DIYing (and pulling things i already owned out of my closet for lillia lmao) for both of these and i am especially proud of that automail glove. i also went to two twisted wonderland cosplay photoshoots on both saturday and sunday which was definitely fun, and i met todd haberkorn while in my ed cosplay and got him to autograph the same fullmetal alchemist artbook that i've previously had signed by caitlin glass! i also bought a handful of silly little trinkets and i will put photos of all this other stuff under a cut so people who don't care don't have it clogging their dash too badly.

and uhhh i think that's all i feel like sharing on here?? i wish i had gotten to go to more panels but the various unexpected issues i had throughout the con kept me from having the time to go to many, although the ones i did get to see were great. there was one where a nuclear propulsion plant operator and NASA software engineer graded various sciencey anime on how good or bad their science was and did a very thorough examination of whether or not the premise of planetes--a screw hitting a spaceship, putting a hole in it, and taking out an intercontinental suborbital flight--was plausible. he concluded that it is and gave the overall series an A+ for scientific accuracy, and i've never seen this show but now i want to.

Taking the fall for another classmate? One too many late arrivals. A failing grade due to ladybugging. Was caught tyring to break through a window to get out.

Zoe. She's a result of bad writing and merch sales, has like.. no personality. They should have grabbed an established background character and elevated them. what about weathergirl? or sabrina?

What if Sabrina being given the bee- or even the dog again- gave her a new perspective, and her growing up and getting a spine is what drove Chloe to become friends with Lila?

Zoe feels narratively useless, and the impact of her arrival is negligible. She brings nothing new or interesting to the table.

Honestly, it could have been a good intro to "Kwami powers without humans as a filter is dangerous" via Gabriel forcing Nooroo to make an akuma. That would keep identity intact, overpower Chat's willpower, and be an incredibly devastating event.

Hell, even if they kept him dead silent, it would have been way more interesting and intimidating. I can't take him seriously with his tearful "uwu save meee huuu" and wiping tears away.

Alondra!!! I absolutely loved Part 11 of Nonviolent Communication!! It was both so sweet and yet so heartbreaking, especially with Miguel's backstory. (Also I have to mention I wrote a lot here, I'm sorry!) but I'll start with saying that Babysitting mayday sounds so fun and it was just so cute reading about taking care of her!! and let me collect myself here a bit because the whole flashback to Peter discussing having kids got me tearing up!! Thank you for tagging me and including that little idea I had with Peter buying too much merch and their friends thinking he has a crush on Spider-Woman!! and again I just love how you write Peter despite him not being in the story and I still have such a soft spot for Peter so reading this was so bittersweet but just thank you for including this in!!! ❤️ Makes me miss Peter even more now 🥺 I'm just so happy for reader, as she's in a much better place in dealing with that loss than before. And when reader puts on Billie Holiday, listening without crying in four years 😭 so much progress has happened for reader!!

I'm still not over reader and Miguel having dinner every Saturday 🥹 even having a little tradition of having pan dulce and café de olla! and the fact they both look forward to having dinner with each other is just so sweet!! the fact Miguel looks forward to it so much he already thinks of what to cook days in advance??!! 😭 but when Miguel shows up at reader's apartment mid dance with Mayday!! 😂 this whole day with the three of them was just so so cute!! and I loved how much Miguel smiled in this!! and again when reader had to do the little Spidey dance in the morning for Mayday!! omg when Miguel says “I think - you did it justice,” with the little eyebrow raise 🤭 can I also just mention how happy I am that Miguel is getting some well deserved and better sleep with less nightmares with readers help!! and the fact reader is included in his dreams!! 😭 seriously not over seeing the progression with Miguel and wanting to change for the better, it makes me so happy!! but the fact he can really depend on reader when some days are harder just- I'm just so happy he has reader to count on, I just love their friendship 🥹

Seeing a little bit of Miguel’s fatherly side even though it's still hard for him to be around Mayday 😭 (and I just want to mention how you included that Miguel's fatherly side shows through the resources he has at HQ for the younger members that need it because that's so sweet and I can really see Miguel doing that!) and I just have to talk about how bittersweet it is that reader also thinks that if Miguel hadn’t lost his family that he wouldn’t be where he is with reader now, living a very different and happy life, just as Miguel thought about reader’s loss with Peter- and then reader would also give up all this and their friendship if it meant Miguel having his family back and happiness- the parallels!?! 😭😭 (totally fine here, really) 

When he couldn’t help watch how reader takes care of Mayday with such care and then watching as reader brushes Mayday's hair reminding him of when he brushed Gabriella's hair 😭 But omg the big chuckle Miguel had when Mayday hit reader on the side of the head with the plush 😂 i found it so cute when Miguel couldn’t hold his chuckle in seeing reader forms a little smile 🥹 what I would do to see Miguel like that, makes me wonder if reader will get to see Miguel full on laughing in the future! And when Mayday makes reader and Miguel’s action figures kiss!! 🤣🤣 I giggled so much reading that, omg Mayday really is rooting for them too!! I can only imagine what Miguel’s face looked like seeing that!!

I loved reading about how Miguel and reader can sit in silence with one another now and find comfort in each others presence, without feeling the need to fill the silence because its so true that finding that kind of connection with someone can be hard, and the fact reader had that with Peter and now Miguel 😭 and when they subconsciously know when its time to communicate with each other- because of their special connection, I love reading about the little ways their special connection shows, and the fact Miguel loves learning and knowing more about reader, finding the connection the two of them have comforting, just the idea of reader existing comforts him yet that scares him too 😭 You can see how much he really cherishes their friendship and just cares about reader overall.

I'm so happy reader got to tell Miguel how cool his fangs and talons are because they really are!! and also telling him his eyes are beautiful no matter what color they are, because it's true. I can't even begin to describe how sad it was reading when Miguel thinks back on how some of features made him feel like an outcast back in the early days of the spider society. And the fact he still felt guilty over accidentally scratching reader with his talons and feeling guilty over ripping reader's suit a bit too, Miguel really is just a big softie, he is just so caring and sweet 🥺

This brings me to he whole conversation with Miguel on his childhood and- that was just so heartbreaking. It’s awful knowing he’s kept this to himself all this time with only Gabriel knowing because he was there to see it too. How Miguel tried to comfort Gabriel, being protective of his younger brother from the abusive environment they were in, everything they went through. Miguel and Gabriel really deserved so much better, I can't imagine bottling all that up all these years. And it was just so heartbreaking reading about how he was treated as a child by George O’Hara and then not having the best relationship with Conchata, being treated unfairly for something he has absolutely no control in, it just breaks my heart. Then there's his time at Alchemax, It's just so sad reading about how he became Spiderman 2099. Miguel's whole backstory involves so much hardship. But I'm so glad that Miguel had reader to really let all this out, I'm so happy he was able to have to opportunity to tell this to someone he trusts so much, to help him with his healing journey 🥹

It was also so sad to read how hard it was to tell Miguel that he is enough to the point where reader says "I’m no one to say it" and when it upsets Miguel that reader even said that, as he values this friendship so much and cares so much for reader, to the point where he says “You… are more than someone to me,” 😭 so much has happened between them, so many milestones in their relationship, and I really enjoy seeing how far they've come, even if there is a slight restraint that tugs at them sometimes. When reader get's the words out to say that he is worthy and enough as a person, I got emotional because Miguel really deserves so much love and deserves to know that he really is enough, he deserves so much better, and it was so needed for him to hear that. Thank you again for doing so much justice for Miguels character because he truly deserves all the love!! ❤️

Ok I just have to talk about Miguel's hand brushing over readers when giving him the wrong mug- his fingers sliding in between the spaces of reader's hand- was freaking out (in a good way) but then his pink finger started to curl around readers pinky and give it a gentle squeeze??!! I'M SORRY FOR YELLING BUT I WAS SCREAMING!! the fact reader tried avoiding touching Miguel's hand to respect his boundaries only for him to do this!! omg I can't believe Miguel was the one to initiate this little touch!!! no the way that was so intentional I'm still freaking out- I can't- if I'm freaking out now, I can't imagine how I'll be later on when they open up to comfort each other more physically!! and the size difference with the hands!! omg I'm still not over this, the fact Miguel's pinky tip can wrap around readers pinky I- the way I'm going to think about this whole moment for the next few days omg. I think I remember you mentioning messing around with your mug and thinking about how it would look in Miguel's hand and now here I am also messing around with my mug wondering that too 😂 

The fact Miguel really didn't want to leave readers apartment because he finds so much comfort in reader and her place is just so sweet, and I found it really endearing how reader prolonged the stay too. And when Miguel thinks back to reader being alone for 3 years after Peter's passing, thinking how alone reader must've been during that time and wishing to find her sooner 😭 when the both of them stayed up all night with each other!! I can't get over their friendship, it's just so sweet and truly special. but don't even get me started on when Peter B. shows up in the morning to find Miguel also in reader's apartment 😂 I'm imagining the look on his face and his thoughts in that moment! and then the glances the Parkers give each other when Miguel and reader head out after returning all of their things- now I wonder if the Parkers talk about Miguel and reader's friendship. But when reader tells Miguel “I’m here for you.” and Miguel says he's there for reader too!! even with it being hard for him to express these words!! Again, the amount of progress Miguel has made just makes me so happy to read!! ❤️

I've written way too much again, but Alondra, I absolutely loved part 11!! I remember you telling me how much research you had to do with writing this, especially on Miguel's backstory! and I appreciate everything you do to write such an amazing story!! It's crazy how far reader and Miguel's relationship has changed and evolved, how they find comfort in one another, though still holding back as they still respect each others boundaries too 🥺 and I will mention this every single time but I love it when they say "always" to one another, it's just too sweet ❤️ and again don't be sorry for updating later, especially with how busy it is in December and everything! and I hope you get to have some fun too!! It was sad for me to write about but I also wanted to include it in the story as part of Miguel's healing journey! I'm just glad this part is out of the way now. And don't worry about the length of the ask, my response is probably going to be longer, haha (I'm sorry!!)! Babysitting Mayday was so much fun to write about! I wanted to include it at one point in the story and I figured I would do it now to lighten up the chapter a bit because of Miguel's hardships, though I tried my best to have Miguel talk about it in a way that gave him power while doing so. I hope that makes sense! Omg, the part about Peter discussing having children!! I got sad writing that part, too but I wanted to include a little bit of Peter in this chapter since I feel like these days he's not mentioned as much! I miss writing about him like I did back in the early chapters! 🥺 And, of course! I needed to include that bit about the merch and their friends thinking Peter had a crush on Spider-Woman, haha!!! I loved it too much to not include it, so THANK YOU AGAIN for the inspiration!! I'm also so happy that reader is in a much better place than she was before and that she can listen to Billie Holiday again without crying (I was lowkey crying at her progress though)!! Their Saturday dinners omg!! I love it, too!! And also the fact they have café de olla and pan dulce, just like Miguel did with Gabriel, someone he cared about so much, on Saturdays!!! And the fact that they both look forward to it but then yes, omg the way Miguel plans ahead!! He lowkey wants to keep impressing her!! Omg Miguel arriving when reader and Mayday are dancing !!!! It had me blushing hahaha!! Miguel smiled so much in this chapter and maybe I over did it but I couldn't contain myself when I knew he was going to be talking about his past!! OMG the little eyebrow raise Miguel did when he told reader she did the spidey dance justirce!!!!!!!!!!!!! I needed it. So I added it and 🤭🤭 that bit was definitely a treat for me, haha!! Again, why is this so ??!!! Just his eyebrows alone got me! It's everything about this man, I swear!!! @sunsetdoodler me, too about the sleep 😭😭 I want this man to eat and sleep well and I'm so happy he's getting proper sleep and making homemade meals!!! And hehe, reader showing up in his dreams... 👀 but also same about Miguel having reader to count on. I genuinely love how he knows he can count on her, how he embraces it now!! It's little but the progress he's made!!! Makes me want to cry happy tears for him🥹🥹

Miguel's fatherly side!!! I LOVED INCLUDING THAT!!! It was especially important for me after reading bits of the script!! He has a fatherly side that we can see in the movie even in the aftermath of him losing Gabriella (him letting Gwen into the Spider Society after what he saw happened with Gwen's dad despite not wanting her to join because of her connection to Miles; I'm pretty sure he knows about Margo's parents, too (he's such a GIRL DAD AND I'M SCREAMING))!! Omg, no, the freaking parallels to them being willing to give up their friendship and everything just so the other could have their previous life back but also feeling a deep sadness just imagining not being in each other's lives ... It's just a sign of the kind of friendship they have!!! It's so sweet and beautiful!!

No, Miguel watching reader and Mayday throughout the evening was so cute to me!! Him being reminded of brushing Gabriella's hair got me sad but I also loved including the fact that his memories of Gabriella are less painful these days! OMG him CHUCKLING 😭😭 I had WAY TOO MUCH fun imagining him like this (I NEED HIM HAPPY LIKE THIS). About reader seeing him full on laughing in the future... no comment. Omg Mayday making their action figures kiss - this is why I mentioned in the Thanksgiving drabble ask you sent that Mayday was also rooting for them along with Peter B. haha!! But no, I was laughing too much at this part because of reader and Miguel's reaction. And Miguel's face - I didn't describe it but you better bet there was a strong blush going on and his eyes went a little wide when he first heard Mayday!!!🤣🤣

The whole bit about their peaceful silences is just 🥺 I love how much comfort they find in each other even through their presences alone, and the fact reader had this this with Peter and now Miguel!! Their special connection showing through in this small way 😭 their friendship is just so sweet!!! And Miguel truly does cherish this friendship and reader so much even if he doesn't verbally say it YET.

Omg reader telling Miguel his fangs and talons are cool and unique!!! I just had to include that (even more so after the script)!! And about his eyes - I NEEDED TO!!! His eyes are beautiful and I don't care what anyone says!!!!! Also, I just wanted to include that bit because again, the script brought back to me the fact that he already might feel like he stands out because of his lack of spidey sense! So I just wanted to make Miguel feel loved and appreciated even if it's just through this fic 😭😭 about reader's suit - yes, omg he really is a big softie and just so caring and sweet!! He genuinely feels bad about it but I'm glad reader reassured him it's okay!!

Now on to Miguel's past... 😭 This was so painful but as I said earlier, I thought it was necessary for Miguel's healing journey. The bit about him comforting Gabriel as a child when Miguel himself was one - It breaks my heart. And then George O'Hara (it would've be on sight for him and Tyler Stone fr)! And Conchata's treatment, too when he had nothing to do with it (it really upsets me how she takes it out on him). I hate that Miguel had to go through that and that he's kept it bottled up all these years, and didn't even talk to Gabriel about it. I really feel like a part of him never wanted to because in the end, George was Gabriel's bio father and he probably also didn't want to talk about their mom because Gabriel had a very different view of her, so Miguel probably didn't want to talk "bad" about either of them even if they deserved it. Then his time at Alchemax and becoming Spider-Man 2099, as you said, so much of his past involves hardship and the way some people ignore that it's just so upsetting. I hope so badly that he has a happy ending in the spider-verse 😭😭😭 I'm also so happy that he has someone that he trusts and can talk to in reader!!

On reader not wanting to tell Miguel her thoughts and then finally tells Miguel she's no one to say it but Miguel growing upset - I absolutely loved this part because Miguel genuinely means it. So much has happened between them that it upsets him reader can think she's no one. The way they still hold back from saying things at this point - omg, I cannot wait for the day when they're more open about these things without feeling like it's too much for either of them. I also wanted it to be this moment in which reader finally breaks past a boundary (at Miguel's wish and acceptance) and it's for this - to tell Miguel that he's worthy and deserving of so much more. I genuinely loved this part - it has to be one of my favorite parts in this story so far. Miguel most definitely needed to hear that and the fact that it came from someone that has been nothing but kind, understanding, and respectful to him - I just, I'm okay really!!! Thank you so much!! I'm so happy you think I'm giving Miguel's character justice, that truly means so much to me 🥺

@sunsetdoodler you and me both freaking out over the little physical touch they had!!! I was like, we're getting a little bit and it's initiated by MIGUEL HIMSELF !!!!! If I was not ready for this little moment, I can already see myself absolutely losing it when it's full on contact which I'm just omg - gonna be screaming and crying over it 😭😭😭 but yes the gentle squeeze!!! Once again, Miguel is a huge softie and !!!! Imagine what it must feel like!!! I've been thinking about it for weeks now!!! And omg yes the way his pinky's tip is enough to wrap around hers - I needed to highlight the size difference even just a little bit in this scene. Also 😂😂 you should've seen me. I was in my bedroom drinking coffee in this mug and holding it in different poses to see what was the best way for it to make sense. I was really sitting there studying it, taking notes, and trying to get an idea of how much space Miguel's fingers would need, where to place my own pinky finger and all (very important research!!💀 no, the things this man has me doing sometimes it's just - wow).

Miguel not wanting to leave and reader also wanting him to stay longer!!! I just love how they were on the same page about it!! The little bit about Miguel wishing he had found her sooner - I WAS MAKING MYSELF GET IN MY FEELINGS OVER THIS!!! Then how they stayed up together all night 😭 I'm so happy you love their friendship because me, too!! Haha, Peter B.'s face when he came in - I saw it so perfectly in my head!! He was freaking out on the inside for sure but trying very hard to not make it obvious! And omg the Parkers definitely talked about it once reader and Miguel left for sure (same way the Morales have talked about them 😂)! Also, Miguel repeating reader's words - BIG MOMENT and such a big sign of Miguel's progress so far!!! I just love getting to write Miguel being more open, I swear!!! 😭😭
